I apologise for the unreasonably long hiatus. Even though this flog is not updated that doesn’t mean I stop eating! HahA!

I’ve been snacking a lot lately, probably because of the attractive packages that the Japanese snacks have. You will know what I mean when you find yourself entranced by the gazillion packages available! This Yuzu flavoured potato chip-sticks was found in Meidi-ya Supermarket at Liang Court. I’m sorry because I don’t remember the price, but I feel that it was a good buy because the chips were lightly salted with Yuzu-flavoured salt. It was a refreshing change definitely from the Lays and Ruffles.

Ume Flavoured Shrimp chips from Isetan Supermarket at Scotts (Lido). I’ve been wanting to get this for weeks already! So during my last Japanese class I bought this at $2.65. (I heard from my fellow Japanese coursemate that she something similar at Daiso retailing at $2!) In any case, I was a little disappointed as I’m a fan of Ume, and this tasted more of shrimp. ): Nonetheless, it’s a refreshing change as well.

The words in blue on the package states “Hokkaido Potato, Salt Flavoured”. Retailing at $2.10, I think it’s part of a current promotion at Isetan Supermarket at Scotts (Lido). Hokkaido is famous for their potatoes! Thought I’d give this a try, it didn’t disappointed other that the fact that it is chip-sticks. (I’d very much prefer it as chips) But the potato did taste different, I’m not quite sure what is it…but yeah. But I’d very much prefer eating the actual potato. (:

The spread on the table for Dad, Mum and me! HahA.

Dad’s favourite!

My favourite! Ee-fu noodles!

Mum’s favourite!

Pan-fried water chestnut cake! Don’t think many of you have tried this?

Ooh char siew sou…! HehE.

Teahouse is located at China Square (Telok Ayer area)

Bored of the usual potato chips? Head down to Meidi-ya (supermarket located at the basement of Liang Court) and get your natto crackers today!

Reasonably priced at $2.50 per packet, the natto crackers…how should I put it…it smells nothing like the real thing, but yet when you bite into the cracker, you can feel/taste the stickiness of it! HahA quite interesting…

I can’t get enough of Togi’s Korean Restaurant located along Mosque Street (in Chinatown). The Korean cuisine (to me) is authentic and reasonably priced. Brought the IG peeps there (their first time!) and there was no bad feedback…everyone loved the bulgogi beef wrapped in lettuce yah?

This.

L-R, Top to Bottom:

Soup with Fuzhou fishballs (my fave my fave!), Pig Stomach Soup (actually same soup as the previous one, just that the first one doesn’t have pig stomach…HahA!), Ngoh Hiang (my fave my fave!), Pei Leng with Sliced Abalone, Mummy’s Braised Chicken Feet and Mushroom, Daddy’s Sambal Pork, Daddy’s family recipe - Soon Boot (it’s braised duck of some sort, but the sauce is REALLY good), deep fried pomfret and poached chicken (yum!)

So what did you have for reunion dinner? (:
