I’m a HUGE fan of Mentaiko Pasta! So guess what made me so happy?

It took me like what? 2 minutes max? To peel open the plastic cover and pop it in the microwave for 1 minute, pour the mentaiko mix and seaweed and mix it all together. And it was dinner! I need more of these…HahA! Retailing at $4.50 it’s really a steal (thinks of $15.90++ in the restaurants…)

Love at First Bite?: YES! I need to go back to stock up on this and other variety!

How can I lose weight if I have parents that cook such wonderful food?!

Greeted in the morning with mee sua and a hard boil egg for me! Of course…the ENTIRE DRUMSTICK! ^_^

You thought that was a lot?! Lunch was a far more heart-disease contributing affair…

Pork Slices in Korean Marinade (one of Mum’s experiments)

Curry Chicken with EXTRA Potato (for me)

Home Made Ngoh Hiang (Can’t complain it’s my fave!)

I depended on this bowl of Stir Fried Xiao Bai Cai and Carrots to save me from cardiac arrest.

I knew Mum had a sudden urge to cook Thai food when I saw 3 different types of Tom Yam paste in the kitchen one day. Apparently her company has a folder in the server for recipes (???!!!) So the above are her results!

Love at First Bite?: Yes! For the pineapple rice (((: Too many fish slices in the Tom Yam soup! I know she loves me but still…

I must have done something good my past Life. HahA! Boss invited the Sales Team out for lunch the other day, and he chose the exclusive Tower Club at Republic Plaza. How exclusive?

Membership, as I found out is by invitation only.

So there we were, secured a window seat on the 64th storey and having a sumptuous buffet lunch. Here are some pictures (taken discreetly of course):

Love at First Bite?: Yes! For the creamy pumpkin soup and fragrant walnut bread; for the melt-in-your-mouth cod fish; and the home-made vanilla ice cream. I mean I actually forgot to take a picture of the stunning view.

A random evening turned into local hawker fare delights for me!

Clockwise from bottom left:

“Cai Tao Kway” (or “Char Kway” - Carrot Cake, if you prefer), (Lousy!) “Roti John”, “Or Jian” (Oyster Omelette), Chicken and Mutton Satay, and BBQ Chicken Wings in the centre!

I would say it’s pretty pricey, but if you’re in a group it’s okay…? I think we spent about $40+ on these.

Love at First Bite?: Yes, only for the “Cai Tao Kway” and Satay!
